Since we opened our doors, Myoptic Optometry has donated a portion of our exam fees to 4 charities. We’re going to post on each of these, to help explain why we love them so much. Today’s feature: Sustainable Northwest.
Sustainable Northwest provides nonpartisan support for a community-oriented, conservation-based economy in the West. They want rural communities to thrive in harmony with a healthy landscape.
Often in the Pacific Northwest, the environmental debate polarizes between the side that wants to protect the environment no matter the cost to rural jobs, and the side that wants to extract resources no matter the cost to the environment.
Sustainable Northwest brings everyone to the table, and crafts solutions that work for all. Then, they have the clout to make those decisions stick at the state and federal level.
