Moscot first started in 1915 with founder, Hyman Moscot, selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart in the streets of New York City. In 1925 Moscot set up its first retail shop and they have been rooted in New York ever since, still operating shops out of Brooklyn and Manhattan today.
Moscot combines fashion forward frames with a very classic designs. The Moscot Originals collection are based on the original designs that Moscot sold between 1930 and 1970. The designs, colors and sizes are all replicated from their original predecessors. This gives the collection a vintage, classic look while still being contemporary. Moscot also makes their Moscot Spirit collection. This collection takes the bold looks of their Originals collection and tones them down for a more easy going but still very classic look.
Moscot often hold charitable music events out of their Orchard Street Shop, featuring artists like Myles Kennedy and Nick Waterhouse. Many celebrities wear the Moscot brand including: Paul Rudd, Johnny Depp, fashion designer Michael Kors, Lady Gaga and more.
